An experimental theatre about love and longing.

A world without funerals—on this Windows prairie, time does not flow.

'MIMA' originates from the sci-fi imagination of consciousness uploading. The theatre space transforms into a machine, guiding the audience into the continuously operating, heat-generating interior of the machine to meet the mother. Her life, her confusion and death, and her struggle within the machine that seeks to dominate her subjectivity and soul. The machine endlessly cycles through scenes to preserve the mother's consciousness, while we stand vigil before the system.

Theatre is a space shared by 'us'. Placing experimentation between auditory and visual realms, 'MIMA' poetically blends text, body, speech, and improvised music to touch upon absence and non-existence.

When the machine gazes back at us, what remains?
